Modumetal is profiled in the May 2009 edition of Inc. Magazine
. The company is developing a new technology for making metal alloys at the molecular level, stronger and lighter than steel. The process for making these materials involves "growing" parts in an electrochemical bath, where the finished part is created in only one manufacturing step.
Plans call for eventually using these materials in automobiles. Interesting.
